RIP Robert Sherman

Hi Friends!

Well, we are back from an absolutely AMAZING week at Disney. There are about a million photos, reviews, and stories coming your way, but while I get those ready tonight, I wanted to write a very special post in honor of a member of the Disney family that we lost this week.

As you may or may not know, Robert Sherman passed away on March 5th at age 88. Robert and his brother, Richard, made up the musical powerhouse, the Sherman Brothers. Walt was incredibly fond of them, and with their help, children around the world know songs like "It's a Small World", "Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow", "World of Color" and countless others. They also wrote the score to Mary Poppins, The Sword in the Stone and the Parent Trap.

Ironically, on this very day, Chad and I had watched the opening video seen below, of Walt singing with the brothers while waiting for the Carousel of Progress.

While you may not recognize his face, he's played a great role in the history of so many people who grew up watching Walt on TV, or those who have ridden one of the rides with those songs you just can't get out of your head. He will be missed.

RIP Robert Sherman- thank you for the music!
