I want to apologize, I know I've neglected my blog for a bit, and for that, I am sorry. I've been all over the southern part of the country for the past few weekends doing walks for work, and after a very successful walk in Charlotte yesterday...I'm done! Well, until March anyway.
As many of you know, this past Saturday was an important day in our household. Not only was it Veteran's day (my father/grandfather/great grandfather, etc. were all in the military and Chad's uncle is in the military) it was also our 5 year wedding anniversary. It seems so much longer than just 5 years, but that's probably because we've been together since 2003.
Anyway, while we loved getting to share such a special time with all of our friends and family, the wedding itself drove us insane. So many things we needed to do to please others, and it was crazy expensive. The thing that got us through all of the insanity was knowing that on November 13th, we'd be going on our honeymoon. Where did we go? Well, Disney of course!
Hubby had been to Disney a few times in High School, but since it was always just a day or two, he got what I like to call the "Disney Cliff Notes version". He was a little skeptical about going to Disney for a honeymoon since his impression was that it would be insanely full of children, which doesn't lend itself to a very romantic time.
Very happily though, he learned that it's not just for kids. We had the most amazing time. We got to stay at the absolutely amazing Animal Kingdom Lodge, and ended up spending most of our time at the Magic Kingdom (with the exception of one day at Epcot that resulted in us needed to leave early since I got insanely sick on Mission Space).
In honor of the start of our honeymoon 5 years ago today, here are a few photos from our absolutely magical time.
