180 Days: No Reservations Here!

Hello again, Mousekateers!

Today is a fun milestone in our countdown to the most awesome Disney Vacation ever. We're officially at 180 days out, which means we were able to make our ADRs (Advance Dining Reservations) this morning. And boy, did we take advantage of that without any reservations (Ha! See what I did there...)

On our first day, we'll be having dinner at Cinderella's Royal Table. By the time we're finished it will either be time for the Main Street Electrical Parade OR Wishes! What better way to spend our first day on vacation. :)

On day 2, we'll be heading to Epcot, and heading to Le Chefs de France for dinner. I've actually never been here before, so this is a new one for me. I'm really excited- even though I don't know the first thing about French food. Lucky for me, Hubby and Riki both took French in high school, so there's some hope.

Day 3 will be a really exciting day. We'll be headed to Animal Kingdom! We're going to be taking part in the Backstage Safari tour and having lunch at the Yak & Yeti. Both of these are new for everyone in the group, so we're excited to see a different side of Animal Kingdom and get up close and personal with some of it's residents! Be prepared for a LOT of photos.

That evening, we'll be having a "Date Night".  Hubby and I will likely just be heading back to the Magic Kingdom to walk around and spend some time together. Hubs has this strange connection to Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe in Tomorrowland, so we will probably be heading there for dinner. It's not much, but it should still be fun!

Day 4 will be a day of DHS! We're going to be headed to Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater for dinner. It's been many moons since I've eaten here, but keeping with the theme of trying new things, we thought it would be a fun place to eat. After that, we'll hang around until it's time for Fantasmic!

Day 5 is back to Epcot for some more excitement. We'll be taking the bus from the resort to the Magic Kingdom, to the Monorail so we can eat breakfast at Chef Mickey's. I've never been here before, but Riki says it's good, so I'm all for it! Then, we'll take the Monorail to the TTC at Epcot then enjoy all the Epcot has to offer. My hope is that we catch Illuminations one of the nights we're there, and I'm really hoping we can catch a performance of the Voices of Liberty choir at the American Adventure. Again, be prepared for a lot of photos AND video!

Day 6 is our last full day (boo!) so we'll be heading back to the Magic Kingdom. We'll be sure to hit up anything we may have missed the first day, then head over to the Polynesian (via Monorail- the only real way to travel) for dinner at Ohana. Again, this is a first for me, so I'm really interested to see what this is all about. Riki and Z loved this place when they went on their honeymoon back in September, so I'm super excited to go! After that I was hoping we could catch Wishes and the Electrical Water Pageant  on the beach at the Poly. What a great way to the end the night!

Since so much about our final day is up in the air (departure times, etc.) we're going to be playing it by ear. Hopefully, we'll have plenty of time to enjoy the company of our best friends at the Happiest Place on Earth!

We don't want to do too much planning, since so much of the Disney magic is just getting to walk around and enjoy the little things.

So have you been to any of these places before? What were your experiences? Share them here!

  1. You haven't been to Chef Mickey's for breakfast before?! You are going to love it, it is one of my favorites...just be sure to save room for all of the delicious things! :) I'm curious what you think of CRT. The experience we had there was amazing and magical -but the food was definitely not the best we had at WDW.

You are going to have SO much fun!!
