I'm so excited, and I just can't hide it!

Okay, this is going to be a 2-part post today, folks. I apologize for my absence (is this thing on?) but I had my best friend here from Illinois, so I wanted to spend as much time with her as possible. But, sadly, she's gone back home. So, here I sit with my legs propped up typing to all of you lovely people.

So, today might possibly have been the coolest day of my entire life (sorry honey- our wedding was pretty cool, but c'mon...this was awesome.) I spoke with John freaking Lesseter. Yes, THE John Lasseter of Pixar and Disney Animation Studios fame. THAT John Lasseter. I probably shouldn't gush too much about WHY I called and how I even got in contact with him in the first place, but I can say that he's quite possibly one of the coolest, most down to earth, genuinely awesome guy. I don't know what I was expecting, but I certainly wasn't expecting him to be so...normal. Getting to talk to him was quite possibly one of the coolest things I've ever gotten to do. I had to gush. Thanks for bearing with me.

Now, I shall regain my composure (somewhat) and mention that tomorrow is the start of the D23 Expo in Anaheim! You may or may not know that last year's D23 convention is where the Fantasyland Expansion was announced, so many Disney fans are expecting big things from this year's gathering! Many conventioniers are the first to see new merchandise, get sneak peeks at upcoming films (could they be seeing a preview of Brave?) and hear from panels of your favorite Disney cast members about upcoming projects. While I've never gotten the chance to attend something like this, I've been invited to go with a friend next year- so I'll do my best to make it happen...you know...for you...my adoring readers! ;)

So what are you looking forward to most? Do you have any ideas of announcements that will be made? Anything you're hoping for?
