All Too Easy.

Greetings Galactic Travelers!

This weekend officially kicks off Star Wars weekends at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Not only do we get to see all our favorite Star Wars stars, but arguably most exciting of all was the re-launch of Star Tours on Friday!

Disney once again gets a high five for turning to the latest technology to ensure all guests would be able to tune in for the festivities. Just as they had done last June for World of Color, the Mouse had set up a live stream for those of us at home to still feel like we were in a galaxy far away.

For anyone who didn't have the pleasure of riding the "old" Star Tours, here's what you missed:

Here is the firework show the night before the festivities officially kicked off:

Of course, the Dance Off with the Star Wars Stars (a crowd favorite each year):

And the Grand Opening Ceremonies featuring George Lucas, Bob Iger (Walt Disney Parks CEO) and a special appearance of C3PO and R2D2:

Back in 2008, we unknowingly booked our family trip to WDW during Star Wars Weekends. I have to say, I'm so glad we were able to catch it. We saw the man who played Chewbaca, and all of the Star Wars characters were out. I didn't see Star Wars until I was well into my 20's, and I can honestly say, I really, really enjoyed them. I think even if you're not a Star Wars geek, it's so easy to enjoy yourself during SWW because of all the new, exciting changes Disney makes to DHS and the incredibly cleaver marketing.

So, next time you're at DHS, even if it's not during SWW, be sure to check out the new re-launch of Star Tours. With hundreds of new scenes and outcomes, you're sure to enjoy your trip!

Finally, on a side note, I wanted to send out a few personal messages. To my friends Matt, Joe, and Tom, a HUGE congratulations for your beautiful photography being featured in the Complete Guide to Walt Disney World Resort! It was so exciting to open the book and see your photos!

And a huge heartfelt "Thank You" is in order to my friends and favorite editors, Lou Mongello and Tom Foster for the special get well wishes on their site. Tim and Lou are the editors for my favorite Disney publication, Celebrations Magazine. If you're not already a subscriber, please consider becoming one by clicking on the link I posted on the right side of the page. You will NOT be disappointed!

Until next time, Mousekateers, "May the Force be with you!"

Edited to add: Be sure to check out Orlando Attractions Magazine on Facebook for some great updates on your favorite Disney World news as well as all of the other great parks in Orlando!
