Hi there friends! Well, it's certainly a winter wonderland here in the frozen north! This is what we woke up to this morning:
Nice, right? Uh, not so much. We didn't have any power for about 5 hours this morning (which also means no heat) and the roads are TERRIBLE. One not so great part of living on the main street in town, means that while the road may get "plowed", our driveway gets ridiculously plowed IN. Yep. REALLY looking forward to getting through this winter.
On a little warmer side of things, it appears that things are hopping at the Animal Kingdom Lodge tonight! Thanks to Eyes on Ears, I've been cyber-stalking the driveway of the AKL and it looks like there are many guests arriving tonight. If you're one of them and you've found your way over here- enjoy your vacation!
And, on another topic, it appears that the Magic Kingdom Fantasyland expansion is moving into it's second stage. In mid to late February, Mickey's Toontown Fair will be under construction. While Mickey and the gang as well as the Princesses will be available for meet and greets throughout the park, you will no longer be able to do so in their homes. Be sure to stop by City Hall on Main Street USA during your stay to see how the expansion will impact your stay. For a list of scheduled closures and refurbs, check this out.
One last thing before I sign off for the evening. Today is my husband's 28th birthday. To my amazing hubby, I love you more than you'll ever know. Happy Birthday sweetie. Hope your day was everything you hoped it would be!
I hope everyone is home safe and warm through this snow! We'll see what happens tomorrow. I'm pretty nervous about driving in when the conditions are this bad. Good luck everyone!
Have a magical evening!
