On Facebook today, the Disney Animation Studios posted some information about the release of Disney's 50th animated feature film: Tangled. Can you believe this is the big 5-0?!
It also posed an interesting question to all us Disney fans: how many Disney movies do you have in your collection? Do you still watch them? Share your favorite movies here and tell us WHY they're on your short list of movies everyone should love.
Also, be sure to tell your friends about the Disney Hippy Blog! The more people that follow...the better! Perhaps we can still another incentive in there somewhere...you never know! ;)
Cinderella was always my favorite. I distinctly remember my excitement as a young girl of having a Cinderella watch with a pink leather strap. I was convinced I was the bomb!!!
ReplyDeleteNo surprises here. Beauty & The Beast is my favorite classic Disney movie (duh), followed by The Little Mermaid.
ReplyDeleteBeauty & The Beast is just too wonderful not to love. I mean, talking/singing inanimate objects? Win. The music is wonderful and this is the first Disney movie I remember that really made me laugh.
As for TLM... I actually used to sing and make up dances for the songs, to the point where my parents would sit on the couch and just watch me (partly because I insisted they do so).
I've watched both in the past year or so (I only have TLM on VHS, but I have B&TB twice on VHS, as well as the DVD/Bluray combo pack). In fact, I watch a lot of my Disney movies regularly. Shocking, I know. ;-)
Yep! Obviously, my favorite movie of all time will always be Beauty and the Beast. I mean, it's the perfect movie.
ReplyDeleteAnother one of my favorites is actually a newer one; The Princess and the Frog. Disney goes back to hand-drawn animation, which I'm a sucker for, and I absolutely love the bayou setting. The art is absolutely beautiful.
Of course, I have a ton of Disney movies on DVD/Blu-Ray, but the few that I do not have that I would like to get my hands on are Cinderella (this movie actually contained Walt's favorite scene of all time where Cinderella transforms from the tattered dress into her ball gown) and the Lion King. Hopefully those come out of the vault soon!
I have them both on VHS, does that help? lol
